Cottage by Lake Thingvellir, near Reykjavík, Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss

Thingvellir Cottage measures 115 sqm. (1245 sqf.) and feels larger as parts of the second floor are under height limits for measurements.
It is very cozy and you can feel the good spirits inside as soon as you enter and it is brimming with memories from the family that has owned the house from being built.
There are four bedrooms;
The kitchen is equipped with all common tools and utensils, refrigerator, stove and oven, dining plates, glasses, wine glasses etc. A wine/beer cooler is in a storage room close by along with microwave and ice maker. Outside is a gas BBQ grill (Weber).
The living room has cozy sofa's and chairs, open brick fireplace, large flat screen TV, Satellite TV, Free WIFI and Stereo. Step right out to the balcony to take in the calm from the lake below. There is a recently installed Heat Pump that keeps the first floor warm and cozy year round. The heat flows up to the second floor where the rooms have radiators as well.
There is lot of fish in Thingvellir lake and you are welcome to try out your luck and skills to catch fresh fish onto your plate. The most common species are four types of Char and Trout. The most common size of fish is around 500 grams (one pound) which is a nice fish to put on the BBQ or to fry the fillets in icelandic butter on a pan. Please be advised that all fishing equipment must be sanitized upon your arrival in Iceland.
